Receiving an education in a developing country is a privilege most children do not receive, especially in areas like Bonao where the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation is located. Lack of schools, difficulty finding transportation and emphasis placed more heavily on children working to help support their family than attaining an education are some of the main reasons only 12% of low-income students who start school will complete their studies all the way to graduation.

Enter: our Centurion Donors. Because of their ongoing contributions to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, we are able to continue educating children in the area and have even been able to expand the school. Their donations have helped us build a technical school, offer additional sports teams and expand the number of languages taught within the school. These Centurions have also visited our campus on a number of occasions and have been instrumental with a myriad of ongoing projects.
